General regulations regarding winning lottery tickets:
Winning lottery tickets are tickets whose winning numbers match the numbers on the results table in row order, tickets with one number wrong compared to the Special prize (Southern and Central lottery tickets), tickets with the last 2 numbers coincide with the last 2 numbers of the Special Prize for Northern lottery tickets.
The winning lottery ticket must have its original image, original number, not torn or tampered with.
Winning lottery tickets are valid for receiving rewards within the specified reward period. (30 days)
Lottery tickets that win multiple prizes will receive the total value of the prizes.
Tickets with a total prize value of over 10 million VND must pay income tax, which Lottery Companies deduct and pay into the state budget when paying prizes.
Regulations on lottery income tax:
All winning lottery tickets worth up to 10 million VND are not subject to tax. Winning prizes over 10 million must pay income tax at 10% of the amount exceeding 10 million, or (winning prize – 10 million) x 10%.
Special winning prize: 2 billion => Income tax = (2,000,000,000 – 10,000,000) x 10% = 199,000,000 VND
Special Extra Prize: 50 million => Income tax = (50,000,000 – 10,000,000) x 10% = 4,000,000 VND
First prize: 30 million => Income tax = (30,000,000 – 10,000,000) x 10% = 2,000,000 VND
Second prize: 15 million => Income tax = (15,000,000 – 10,000,000) x 10% = 500,000 VND
The remaining prizes of 10 million or less do not have to pay tax, even if you win the whole pair of third prizes of 100 tickets = 10,000,000 x 100 = 1,000,000,000 VND (one billion VND), you also do not have to pay tax, but note that if 1 ticket is If you win multiple prizes, the total value will be taxed. For example, the ticket that wins both the third prize and the 8th prize out of 10 million => must pay tax as (10,000,000 + 100,000 – 10,000,000) x 10% = 10,000 VND.
